Nanaimo Repeater PL Tones
Note: The Nanaimo repeaters on 145.43, 443.900 and 444.725 now require CCTSS (PL) (frequency 141.3 HZ) to access.
These repeaters also transmit a PL tone of 141.3 HZ. Most modern amateur radio equipment have the capability to encode and decode PL There is no set procedure for programming the radios as each radio has a different procedure. Please consult your users manual for your radio for setting up your radio for PL operation. PL encode is required to access the repeaters but PL decode is at your discretion - the use of PL decode does wonders for screening out co-channel interference.
